a performance artist and creator whose work lives between the street and the stage, the political and the personal. Neuroqueer and working-class, they use the body as a site of resistance, tenderness, and transformation — holding a magnifying glass up to the explosion, investigating how the smallest fragments and the largest forces intertwine to reveal what makes us fundamentally human.
A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and a current research fellow at DAS (Amsterdam University of the Arts), Fox creates devised, socially engaged work that moves across theatre, public, and digital spaces.
They’ve worked with Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet, Motionhouse, the Design Council, and more, and co-founded the performance collective Ukemi.
Current projects include the touring show Stuntman, the new work Clusterfuck, and a children’s book, The Angry Unicorn.
Awards: The List Hot 100 2023 (20th), Design Council Active by Design Award, Social Enterprise Award, O2 Think Bigger Award, and the Gordon Bottomley Award.

A non-neurotypical queer body-mind, the paths I’ve walked and experiences I’ve had hold a deep influence on my artistic output. Finding differences and commonalities, putting that into what is made. As a cathartic outlet, a tiny revolution and/or just to explore that I’m not that different after all - that I’m not alone.

I’ve always been interested in liminality—that space between things that connects the dots between practices. The map between chaos and structure, creating with hearts and performing with bones.
